Olive oil ice cream

A perfect recipe to savor all the goodness of new olive oil.

Ingredients:

  • 800 ml milk
  • 200 ml cream
  • 200 g sugar
  • 200 g extra virgin olive oil
  • 10 g coarse salt
  • vanilla for flavoring (optional)

Procedure:

Bring the milk almost to a boil and then remove from the heat. Add the salt and sugar and stir until they dissolve completely. Add the vanilla seeds.
Once the mixture has cooled, add the cream and olive oil.
If you don’t have an ice cream maker, you can pour the mixture into a container and put it in the freezer overnight. Before serving, blend it with a mixer after letting it soften a little.
You can also enjoy it accompanied with flakes of pecorino cheese.
