NaturalMente Umbria: four meetings to harmoniously connect society, man and nature

A single event, divided into four appointments around Umbria, where dissemination and comparison are combined with the interaction between people and the territory.

Umbria is for everyone the Green Heart of Italy and for this reason the NaturalMente Umbria project could only have been born here, created by the CEO of TTreePhi Michelangelo Ceccarelli in collaboration with Dr. Rita Gatto, psychologist and psychotherapist, with the idea of bringing greater connection and awareness of social, natural and environmental issues to the region. NaturalMente Umbria wants to represent the harmonious union between human beings, society and the natural environment and does so through an event (divided into four sub-events), structured in two parts: a technical-scientific one dedicated to dissemination and comparison, and another in which we will talk about the space of interaction between people and the realities of the territory.

Rita Gatto e Michelangelo Ceccarelli

“Umbria is the Green Heart of Italy, but it is a heart that should be enhanced more by promoting initiatives that can reawaken a tourist part – therefore bring awareness to people’s minds about the beautiful territory that hosts us – but also by promoting the link between the well-being of the individual, society and the environment. Added to this are other important themes – which we want to address during the event – such as connection and growth: we have noticed that in Umbria, compared to other regions where we work, there is a fragmentation, there is no cohesion and collaboration between the different parts. We would like – through this project – to promote a connection between the Municipalities, the companies and the local professionals precisely to create a united network that goes in a single direction, that of growth and well-being” explains Michelangelo Ceccarelli.

The appointments

The NaturalMente Umbria journey begins on December 14, 2024 in Bettona with an event dedicated to the Body-Mind Balance. “We chose to start with this topic because, before arriving at issues strictly linked to the environment, we would like to focus on the awareness of the individual as made up of two parts connected to each other: the mind and the body or the soul and the body. People must regain awareness of these components, so as to bring them back into balance: if you do not first have internal stability, you cannot find it externally. The first meeting aims to promote this perception within the person” explains Ceccarelli.

With the second meeting we move to Assisi (February 15, 2025). Here we will talk about Social and work balance: after having found the balance within ourselves, this balance must be brought to the first environment that everyone experiences, the workplace. «Given how today’s society is structured, work is a very important part and we should try to understand that it can be experienced in a healthy way, both by workers and employers. It is therefore important to have work that reflects the dignity of the person and that is linked to the protection of the environment: our daily activities have an impact, not only on ourselves, but also on the environment that hosts us» continues the creator.

Perugia will instead be the setting for the third appointment that will be held on April 5, 2025. With this meeting we get to the heart of the matter, talking about how to consciously rebuild a harmonious connection between human beings and nature. «We will discuss the environment seen as a place that hosts us and that gives us resources, a place in which we need to live in a conscious and balanced way. We are used to thinking that it is our obligation to protect the environment to protect the planet; in reality, according to a scientific and technical vision, we are not only destroying the planet – the planet has seen various glaciations and evolutions throughout its history – but rather we are damaging ourselves, we are becoming extinct as a species. We are not only disrespecting the Earth, but it is also good to shift the focus to our self-harm” adds Ceccarelli.

The journey ends in Norcia, on June 28, 2025, talking about the Social Functioning of Bees, from a biological, psychological, socio-anthropological perspective. “The choice of Norcia is not accidental, it is a naturalistic icon of our region and its territory and Valnerina are known throughout Italy. Here, bees are the symbol of the ecosystem and the connection between nature, work and spirituality. With this stage we will come into close contact with the beauty of our territory” concludes the organizer.
