The idea is by Rachele Possiedi from Umbria who, with a kitchen on two wheels, takes you to taste food from across the Channel.

Discovering English dishes on the streets of Italy, thanks to a trailer for transporting horses: it might seem like something unusual, but it’s The Fox, a kitchen on two wheels that takes you to taste all the flavours of British food.

The idea was born from the experience of Rachele Possiedi – born in Orvieto – who moved to England in 2013 to follow her passion for food and catering. In the English countryside she met chef Alessio Berionni (who became her life partner) and together they began to work in different establishments: after years of sacrifice and dedication, having achieved their goals, they returned to Umbria where the idea of ​​The Fox came to life, a food truck that combines Italian and English culture through food.

Every dish that is served – from the hearty baked potatoes to the classic English breakfasts, from the inevitable fish and chips accompanied by a crispy batter and spicy tartar sauce to the slow-cooked pulled pork sandwiches – brings with it a piece of Rachele’s British adventure, but with that homely touch of Umbria, which is manifested in the use of local and carefully selected raw materials, which follow the seasonal cycles.

The land of origin also contaminates the menu offering with proposals that combine with food from across the Channel: “I believe that food has the power to transport you. With The Fox, I hope to take you on a journey to the United Kingdom with every bite” explains the creator.

The Fox, whose name is a dedication to the symbol of Leicester (a city dear to Rachele), can be found in various fairs in the region and around Italy; it can be requested for private events, including luxury ones, weddings and receptions in villas: its offer ranges from pizza to Umbrian torta al testo with the addition of the open bar option with selected cocktails and DJ on request.
